Position: Solution Engineer
We are looking for a Solution Engineer to develop automation concepts and translate customer requirements into scalable, technically sound solutions. In this role, you will bridge sales, engineering, and customers by designing system architectures, evaluating feasibility, and building competitive proposals.
You will play a key role in defining and delivering Mujin’s automation solutions by integrating robotics, controls, and IT into cohesive systems. This position requires a high level of ownership, the ability to work independently, and confidence in navigating complex technical and commercial discussions.
Responsibilities Develop automation concepts, layouts, and process flows based on customer requirementsTranslate RFQs into integrated system architectures and ensure alignment across robotics, controls, and IT systemsAssess technical feasibility, performance, and risksBuild cost models, project timelines, and support business case and ROI developmentPrepare clear and compelling technical proposals and presentationsCollaborate with Sales and leadership on proposal strategy and customer engagementDefine system integration with WMS/WES, including interfaces and data flowsCoordinate with engineering teams and suppliers to validate solutions and ensure compliance with safety standardsSupport customer discussions and communicate solution value and trade-offsEnsure structured handover to execution teams and contribute to process improvements Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field
- 5–10 years of experience in designing complex and mid-scale material handling systems
- Solid knowledge of material handling equipment, robotics, grippers, and vision systems
- Pragmatic mindset with the ability to balance cost, quality, lead time, and technology
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate customer requirements into viable solution designs
- Capable of creating system layouts and clearly explaining key design aspects to internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills; fluency in English is required
- Willingness to travel occasionally for short business trips
