Our Tokyo Engineering team is evolving rapidly to address the increasing demands of our customers—from managing a few robots to coordinating hundreds; from operating a small team to structuring multiple collaborative squads. We work closely with leading enterprise customers in Japan to deliver advanced robotics solutions, leveraging rapyuta.io, our cutting-edge cloud robotics platform, and the broader ecosystem.
We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead our Agile Release Train (ART) focused on developing cutting-edge Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) deeply integrated with logistics automation solutions. As the RTE, you will serve as a servant leader and coach for multiple Agile teams, ensuring they work cross-functionally to deliver high-value solutions that transform warehouse operations through advanced software and system integration. This position requires a unique blend of Agile expertise, technical understanding of warehouse management systems, and knowledge of logistics automation technologies.
In this role, the System Integration Engineer will be responsible for:
- Organize SAFe events like PI Planning, System Demos, workshops, and ART Sync.
- Improve value delivery by removing impediments affecting timelines.
- Manage dependencies among teams working on warehouse system components.
- Identify and manage risks related to system integration and deployment.
- Collaborate with Product Management to adapt roadmaps to warehouse workflow needs.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in Agile methodologies, with at least 3 years in a leadership role (Scrum Master, RTE, or equivalent)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Demonstrated experience with complex software development projects, preferably in supply chain or logistics domains
- Strong understanding of integration challenges between software systems and physical automation solutions
- Experience facilitating large-scale planning events and coordinating multiple teams
Preferred qualifications
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and their core functions (inventory management, order processing, rule management)
- Familiarity with logistics automation technologies such as AS/RS, conveyor systems, robotic picking, and autonomous mobile robots
- Understanding of supply chain processes and warehouse operations
- Experience with system integration between software platforms and physical automation systems
- Knowledge of data flows and API integrations in enterprise software environments
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for complex systems
- SAFe Program Consultant (SPC) or SAFe Release Train Engineer (RTE) certification
