Our function researches and develops the technologies of human communication for the pillar of Information Mobility. We focus on the technical field of the human communication media such as vision, audio, and natural language, human state and situation sensing, and human-computer interaction. Our function with 60 members covers from the basic research activities (e.g. virtual and augmented reality), advanced function development, with LLM (Large Language Model), to the development of applications and devices with the technologies. And our mission is the installation of our products into Woven City and the market to create new business.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Backend engineer who develops the cutting edge technology and products from the aspect of backend engineering proactively, and has strong motivation to expand the products into society. To be specific, backend engineer who,
・Develops the backend with the sufficient technical knowledges, skills, and work experiences
・Has motivation to develop products with the cutting edge technologies such as computer vision and LLM (large language model)
・Proceeds the development in un-experienced situation which comes from the novelties of technologies and products
・Respects and works together with the people who have different technical and business expertise, backgrounds, and values


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Plans the technical verification and proof of concept, and prototypes the backend applications
  • Develops the backend for commercial products (requirement definition, specification, design, implementation, test, operation and maintenance)
  • Manages the development activities (direction and schedule planning, team management, etc.) and improve the software quality (review of design and implementation, technical support and education for members)
  • Co-work with the related departments (client / frontend development, infrastructure development, cyber-security, privacy, etc.)


    • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of experience in backend systems such as system architecture, API, business logic, database, cloud infrastructure like AWS
  • 3+ years of experience with backend programming languages such as Python, Go-lang, Java, etc.
  • Experience in the project of R&D or creative field (new business, system, function development or equal)
  • Experience in software quality management and non-functional requirement implementation
  • Motivated to improve English language skills and Business level Japanese language proficiency


    • NICE TO HAVES
  • Technical leadership experience in backend engineering (e.g. code review, architecture design review, technical issue shooting and decision making)
  • Experience of whole backend engineering for commercial service (requirement definition, specification, design, implementation, test, operation and maintenance)
  • Experience of product development with the software technologies such as data science, machine learning, computer vision, large language model, human computer interaction
  • Experience of backend or infrastructure engineering with container technology such as Docker, Kubernetes
  • Experience of automatic testing and deployment (CI / CD)
  • Experience of the engineering for cyber-security (e.g. threat modeling) and privacy data (e.g. consent management, GDPR)
  • Leadership experience of software quality management and non-functional requirements implementation
  • Business Level English language proficiency
