Your Role in Our Vision
This platform will be instrumental in shaping the future of vehicle simulation, encompassing everything from vehicle dynamics to complex environmental elements like traffic, road networks, and weather, as well as sensor simulations for cameras, LIDAR, and RADAR. You'll be at the forefront of creating a scalable, state-of-the-art tool that empowers application developers working on control systems, sensor fusion, perception, and machine learning to push the boundaries of what's possible.

Who We're Looking For
We are looking for a visionary Architect to spearhead the development of our next-generation automotive simulation platform. You'll need to be comfortable navigating large codebases, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and making pivotal technical decisions that will drive our technology forward.

Reporting to the Chief Architect, this hybrid role allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds—collaborating with talented colleagues in the office at least three days a week while benefiting from flexible working arrangements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Lead Innovation: Drive the technical development of our next-generation simulation platform, making key architectural decisions and setting a clear vision for its evolution.
  • Collaborate & Inspire: Work closely with internal and external teams, stakeholders, and technology partners to build a cohesive, forward-looking technical strategy.
  • Demonstrate Impact: Create proof-of-concepts to showcase your architectural decisions, validate them with the engineering team, and refine the platform based on feedback.
  • Shape the Future: Keep a pulse on market trends, state-of-the-art solutions, and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in our simulation platform.

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Educational Excellence: A degree in Physics, Robotics, Computer Science, Mechatronics, AI/Machine Learning, or a related engineering field.
  • Technical Mastery: At least 5 years of experience in C/C++/Python/Rust, with a deep understanding of algorithms, geometry, and linear algebra.
  • System Design Expertise: Proven ability to design complex systems, with a track record of success in simulation software development within automotive, robotics, aviation, or related fields.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex ideas effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.

  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Sensor Simulation Expertise: Experience in developing simulations for sensors like cameras, LIDAR, and RADAR.
  • Game Engine Experience: Familiarity with industry-leading game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
  • Advanced Graphics Knowledge: Skills in GPU programming, shaders, and ray-tracing.
  • UI/UX Insight: Experience in designing and developing user interfaces.
  • Industry Standards Familiarity: Knowledge of AUTOSAR, ASPICE, ISO 26262, or similar standards.
  • Language Skills: Proficiency in Japanese is a plus.

  • If you are located outside of Japan we will set up an interview over Google Hangout Meet.
