Your Role in Our Vision
As part of the Chief Engineer Office (CEnO), you'll be a pivotal contributor to the Arene platform, setting new standards in vehicle communication and software-defined architecture. You will be at the heart of innovation, crafting solutions that integrate logical and physical architectures across hardware and software domains. By joining the Arene team, you'll be at the forefront of building the future of software-defined vehicles for the world's largest automotive OEM.

Reporting to the Chief Architect, this hybrid role allows you to enjoy the best of both worlds—collaborating with talented colleagues in the office at least three days a week while benefiting from flexible working arrangements.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Architect Advanced Network Solutions: Develop and implement comprehensive network strategies to support vehicle communication, diagnostics, telematics, and software updates.
  • Drive Innovation: Recommend and integrate emerging technologies to enhance vehicle network capabilities, ensuring our systems are future-proofed and at the cutting edge of innovation.
  • Lead Design & Integration: Collaborate with fellow architects to design and integrate advanced communication protocols, focusing on compatibility, scalability, and security.
  • Shape the Future of Mobility: Envision, define, and support innovative solutions that bridge the gap between logical and physical architectures, driving the evolution of onboard vehicle networks.


  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Extensive Experience: 10+ years in architecting and designing onboard vehicle networks or aircraft communication systems.
  • Technical Mastery: Proficient in standards, protocols, and principles such as DDS (Data Distribution Service), TSN (Time-Sensitive Networking), Virtual Domains, CAN/CAN FD, real-time operating systems, and network stacks.
  • Programming Skills: Strong proficiency in C/C++ programming, with a solid understanding of network security principles and practices in the automotive industry.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with diagnostics, telematics, software updates, and onboard systems.
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the transportation industry, particularly in automotive or avionics, is highly desirable.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams, while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.


  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Experience in software architecture modeling and new product introduction.
  • Familiarity with requirement management tools like Jama.
  • Japanese language skills and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.
